Fresh fish arrive daily for processing in our state-of-the-art facility with its advanced refrigeration system and live tank configuration. Each of the delivery trucks in the Royal Hawaiian Seafood fleet are well insulated and equipped with leading edge cooling technology that undergoes regular maintenance to ensure effective and efficient performance.
Royal Hawaiian Seafood receives regular inspections from Federal, State and Local agencies to maintain certifications warranting compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations. We purchase from trusted sources assuring delivery of the highest quality seafood. We go above and beyond what is required, by implementing the most comprehensive seafood safety testing program available. The testing includes mercury concentration, histamine, radiation and will soon include select pathogens. In fact we are the first in the nation to offer such a comprehensive safety testing and certification program.
We are committed to developing and promoting sustainable fisheries. We have a full sustainability program that including a responsible sourcing guide. We rank all our products according to the sustainability recommendations published by the Monterey Bay Aquarium's Seafood Watch program.
From its beginnings Royal Hawaiian Seafood has purchased directly from fishermen and farmers which improves traceability and creates long term partnerships. We continue continue to improve our traceability efforts through our recent partnership with Trace Register.
